Thoughts On Working With The Alzheimer’s Association - Minnesota/North Dakota
The Alzheimer's Association’s mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research, to provide and enhance care and support for all affected, and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
Below is a touching story of a family who battled with Alzheimer’s for years. They have shared their story to raise awareness and support for this critical mission.
A Note From The Director
I’m very fortunate to produce a lot of videos for nonprofits. I have the unique opportunity to learn and see up close the impact of a variety of social issues and challenges. I thought I understood what Alzheimer’s was but working with Carolyn and her family made me realize I didn’t comprehend the full scope of the disease. It’s absolutely devastating and so widespread. It’s hard to imagine all the people that are impacted.
I was really taken by her descriptions of Carl and their relationship. I was also moved by their children and how they explained what made Carl a great father. During the interviews, I did my best to focus on the beauty of Carl’s mind and what made it special. The love letters between him and Carolyn also provided a window into how he saw the world.
I’m grateful to have been given the opportunity to tell this story and to get to know the Oldani family!

Client Testimonial
This was our first time working with Storyboard Films-- and what a great experience it was. Jeff's interviews were sensitive, compassionate and he built trust with the family as they had experienced a recent loss with the father in the family. Storyboard created a beautiful and polished piece that moved our audience of 600 people in meaningful ways, resulting in more than $1million being raised at this event. Thank you to Jeff and a great crew!
